Camping & Lodging

Camping & Lodging Amenities

Amenities available at your Wilderness Medicine Course

This course is offered at a traditional summer camp located within one mile of the town of Idyllwild. (The specific location & directions will be provided with your Confirmation Materials.)

Camping or Lodging is not included in the tuition cost, and you are welcome to make any type of arrangements you prefer, including commuting to the course on a daily basis.

Lodging & Camping

The camps where these courses are located offer simple, modest lodging and camping options- they are by far the most cost-effective and convenient options for your course.

(PLEASE NOTE: Most students find that staying on-site at the Camp is far more conducive to a productive learning experience, and the least costly camping or lodging option. Course days are very long and tiring, and usually end well after dark- staying on-site allows easy access to cooking, showering, and warm, lighted studying space. This option is *strongly recommended*.)

Check out www.idyllwildchamber.com for many Inns, Bed & Breakfast & Motel options. Expect to pay $75 – $200 a night.

Meals

No meals are included in this course, however there is a fully-functioning kitchen available for your use (if you stay at the Camp). Refrigeration space is available, as well as cooking stoves and clean-up facilities. In nearby Idyllwild, you will find many small stores, including grocery stores and restaurants, with a somewhat limited selection. You may consider shopping ‘off the hill’, and bringing your supplies with you to the course.
