Lodging & Camping
The camps where these courses are located offer simple, modest lodging and camping options- they are by far the most cost-effective and convenient options for your course.
- Dorm-style lodging is available, in traditional camp-style dorms, on bunk beds- you may share this space with 1-2 other persons. Dorm-style lodging is available for $21 per person, per night.
- Tent-camping is available at the camp as well- you may bring your own equipment or vehicle, and camp on site at the cost of $15 per person, per night. Camping areas are informal and undeveloped.
- In either case, you will have access to bathrooms and showers. A kitchen that is available to you to do meal preparation and refrigerated food storage. Note that if you use the kitchen, bathroom and shower facilities regularly during the course, you will be charged for the tent camping fees, even if you do not actually stay at the camp. The kitchen and bathrooms are shared spaces with other students on the course.
- Though we request notification of your lodging or camping plans, payment is not necessary until the start of the course. Plan on paying for this on the first morning of your course.
(PLEASE NOTE: Most students find that staying on-site at the Camp is far more conducive to a productive learning experience, and the least costly camping or lodging option. Course days are very long and tiring, and usually end well after dark- staying on-site allows easy access to cooking, showering, and warm, lighted studying space. This option is *strongly recommended*.)
Check out www.idyllwildchamber.com for many Inns, Bed & Breakfast & Motel options. Expect to pay $75 – $200 a night.
